Why Septic Tank Cleaning is Important

Septic tanks are responsible for separating solid waste from liquids, allowing the water to be absorbed safely into the ground. Over time, solids build up in the tank and need to be removed to prevent blockages, backups, and potential damage to your system. Regular septic tank cleaning ensures your system runs efficiently, prolongs its lifespan, and protects your property from unpleasant issues like sewage backups or drain field failures.

A well-maintained septic system is critical not just for the health and safety of your property but also for the environment. Proper septic tank cleaning helps prevent groundwater contamination, which can pose risks to local drinking water sources and ecosystems. When you schedule regular cleanings with RooterMan Upstate, you’re not just protecting your home—you’re also protecting the community.

Our Comprehensive Septic Tank Cleaning Process

At RooterMan Upstate, we pride ourselves on offering thorough and professional septic tank cleaning services. Our process is designed to be efficient and effective, ensuring that your septic system functions smoothly year-round.

  • Initial Inspection: Before we begin cleaning, our team conducts a full inspection of your septic system. We check for any signs of damage, wear, or leaks that could indicate a problem. This inspection helps us ensure that your system is in good working order before we start the cleaning process.
  • Pumping the Tank: Using state-of-the-art equipment, we carefully pump out all the waste from your septic tank, removing both solid and liquid waste. This step is crucial to preventing blockages and ensuring that the system continues to work efficiently.
  • Cleaning the Tank: After pumping, we thoroughly clean the inside of your septic tank, removing any remaining sludge or buildup. This helps prevent future clogs and allows us to get a clearer view of the tank’s condition.
  • Final Inspection: Once the tank is clean, we perform a final inspection to make sure everything is in order. We check the integrity of the tank and its components, ensuring that there are no cracks, leaks, or other issues that could lead to future problems.
  • Report and Recommendations: After the job is complete, we provide you with a detailed report on the condition of your septic system and any recommendations for maintenance or repairs. We believe in transparency and want you to be fully informed about the health of your system.

  • Foul Odors: A strong sewage smell coming from your drains, yard, or around your septic tank is a clear sign that it’s time for a cleaning.
  • Pooling Water: If you notice standing water in your yard, especially around your septic system, it could indicate that the tank is overflowing or the drain field is saturated.
